1. Dr. GenTLE Systems (Gene Trapping by Liquid Extraction)
Takara’s Dr. GenTLE Systems are designed to enable the extraction of highly purified DNA from whole blood (9081) for use in various reactions. The standard protocol describes extraction from 100 µL of whole blood, but the kit can also be used for larger-volume extraction.
2. DNA Extraction from Paraffin-embedded Tissue
This reagent from Takara is designed to enable one-step extraction of PCR-ready DNA from paraffin-embedded tissues fixed in 10% formalin

The FastPure RNA Kit allows simple and quick extraction of highly pure total RNA from cultured cells and mammalian tissues via centrifugation
4. BluePrint RT PCR Kit
BluePrint RT-PCR Kit, a 2-step RT-PCR Kit for endpoint PCR, is designed to provide excellent elongation and highly efficient amplification of cDNA templates. BluePrint RTase is a newly developed MMLV (Moloney Murine Leukemia virus)-based reverse transcriptase.
5. BluePrint One Step RT-PCR Kit
Takara – Japane: The BluePrint One Step RT-PCR Kit is designed to perform RT-PCR in a single tube. The mixture of all the components necessary for RT-PCR are prepared in a single tube, therefore it is unnecessary to add reagents in the middle of the process, minimizing the risk of contamination.
6. BluePrint First Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit
Takara – Japan: BluePrint 1st strand cDNA Synthesis Kit contains all the reagents necessary to synthesize 1st strand cDNA from total or poly(A)+ RNA using BluePrint RTase. BluePrint is a newly developed MMLV-based RTase. This enzyme shows excellent elongation and is capable of cDNA synthesis up to 12 kb in length. In addition, it can synthesize cDNA efficiently at standard reverse transcription temperatures (42°C), even when RNA templates contain GC rich regions or difficult-to-synthesize structures avoiding high temperature reactions which may cause RNA decomposition.
1st strand cDNAs synthesized with this kit can be used for a variety of applications including 2nd stand synthesis, cDNA library construction, hybridization, PCR amplification, and real-time PCR.
7. Ex Taq DNA Polymerase, Hot-Start Version
Takara – Japan: High yield and high sensitivity PCR. Excellent on difficult templates. Robust polymerase. Antibody mediated hot-start: lower background, increased specificity, and room temperature reaction assembly
8. Taq DNA Polymerase, Hot-Start Version
Takara – Japan: Increased specificity in standard amplification. High throughput capacity in standard PCR. Room temperature assembly. Multiplex PCR
9. LA Taq DNA Polymerase, Hot-Start Version
TaKaRa LA Taq Hot-Start DNA Polymerase consists of TaKaRa LA Taq plus a monoclonal antibody to Taq Polymerase. It retains all of the high performance features of TaKaRa LA Taq and provides increased reaction specificity and reduced background. The key features of TaKaRa LA Taq : synthesis of products up to 30 kb (genomic DNA) and 48 kb (lambda DNA); 6.5X higher fidelity than Taq DNA Polymerase; and, less optimization and greater product yield than other long polymerases due to the robust enzyme-buffer system. Room temperature reaction assembly is possible with this formulation.
10. One Step Ex Taq RT-PCR Kit (Perfect Real Time)
One Step Ex Taq RT-PCR Kit is Designed for real-time one-step RT-qPCR using TaqMan probe1,2 detection. In this kit, RT-PCR can be performed in a single tube, minimizing contamination and is suitable for detection of small amounts of RNA, such as a viral RNA.
11. BluePrint Reagent Kit for Real Time PCR
BluePrint RT Reagent Kit is designed to perform reverse transcription that has been optimized for real-time RT-PCR. It uses the new BluePrint RTase with excellent elongation ability for quick, efficient cDNA template synthesis for Real Time PCR
12. Premix Ex Taq (Probe qPCR)
Premix Ex Taq (Perfect Real Time) is a 2X premix specially designed for high speed, high sensitivity real time PCR using either TaqMan probes or SYBR Green I (not included). It consists of Takara’s high fidelity-high performance TaKaRa Ex Taq Hot Start, and a newly formulated, real time buffer which provides superior specificity and increased amplification efficiency for real time PCR. Antibody-mediated hot start technology prevents nonspecific amplification due to mispriming and/or formation of primer dimers during the reaction assembly. The Taq antibody-polymerase complex is denatured in the first cycling step, releasing the polymerase and allowing DNA synthesis to proceed.
13. SYBR Premix Ex Taq II (Perfect Real Time)
SYBR Premix Ex Taq II (Perfect Real Time) features an optimized buffer formulation which limits non-specific amplification and primer dimer formation.It also includes a hot start PCR enzyme, TaKaRa Ex Taq HS (which contains an anti-Taq-antibody) for high specificity. This combination provides extremely high specificity, sensitivity, and accurate quantification over a wide range of template concentrations. In addition, SYBR Premix Ex Taq II is compatible with a variety of real time PCR instruments and high speed qPCR applications.
14. Mutan-Super Express Km
Takara’s Mutan-Super Express Km Kit is designed to achieve site-directed mutagenesis in just one day. It is based on Oligonucleotide-directed Dual Amber (ODA) method, using the advantages of LA (Long and Accurate) PCR.
